Pacific Gas And Electric Company Seeks Applications
For Its Fourth Annual Diversity Pipeline Summer Program.

We thrive on diversity at Pacific Gas and Electric Company and strive to cultivate a workplace where inclusion, acceptance and mutual respect are standard. We are also committed to increasing the diversity of attorneys practicing energy law. With this commitment in mind, the Law Department established a Diversity Pipeline Summer Program which provides two (2) first-year law students with an opportunity to experience PG&E's multifaceted legal practice and receive academic credit for the work performed in the program.

During the eight-week program at PG&E's San Francisco office, students will complete a variety of work assignments in multiple practice areas including: litigation, commercial and regulatory.

PG&E will only consider students who are eligible to receive academic credit for their participation in the program. The following schools have confirmed that they will provide credit to their students: UC Davis, USF, Golden Gate and Santa Clara. PG&E will not provide monetary compensation.

Selection criteria include academic excellence, personal or professional achievement in overcoming hardship, and a demonstrated commitment to diversity.

Applications are due no later than February 26, 2010 and must include each of the following.

· Documentation listing the criteria for your receipt of academic credit and the name and contact information for the relevant law school administrators with whom PG&E will establish the reporting process.
· Resume
· First-year course writing sample (limited to ten (10) pages)
· Personal statement addressing selection criteria (limited to three (3) pages)
· First-year, first-semester grades

The sufficiency of each application receives serious consideration. Applicants are responsible for assuring that their application is timely, accurate, and complete.

Please send applications by email to: LawPipelineResumes@pge.com

The summer program is targeted to run from June 7 through July 30.

Finalists will be required to participate in an in-person or teleconference interview. Interviews will be scheduled between March 23 through April 2.

PG&E provides equal opportunity in employment and advancement for all qualified persons without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, ancestry, physical or mental disability, medical condition, veteran status, marital status, pregnancy, sexual orientation, gender identity or any non-job related factor.
